Pairing your phone

Connect your iPhone or another computer to your Spekko™, and remove a device.

Pair an iPhone

  1. On the home computer, open Spekko and go to Settings, then Devices, then Add a device (on Windows: Pair a device).
  2. A QR code appears. Open Spekko on your iPhone and scan it from the Pair with your Mac screen.
  3. That's it. Your phone now sees the same chats, memory and cards as your computer.

You can also use the six-digit code shown under the QR code, or a pairing link.

Pair another computer

On a second Windows PC, open Spekko and choose Pair this PC to paste a link, or Pair with code to type the six digits shown on the home computer.

The rules for codes

  • A code works once and lasts 10 minutes.
  • Five wrong tries cancel it. Make a new one from Add a device.
  • The computer Spekko lives on pairs itself, so it never needs a code.

How your devices reach him

Your devices talk to the home computer through Spekko's relay. Everything is encrypted end to end, so the relay passes messages along but can't read them. You don't need a VPN or any network setup, at home or away.

Remove a device

Go to Settings, then Devices on the home computer and remove it. It's cut off at once. If you lose a phone, remove it here first.

If a device says Pair again, it was removed. Pair it again with a new code.
